FAQs: FAQ

DO I NEED A REFERRAL FOR PHYSICAL THERAPY?

You do not!
In the state of Texas, you can take advantage of all of the benefits of Physical Therapy without a referral. Since I am residency trained, I can see you for 15 consecutive business days before getting a referral. Without a residency you are limited to 10 days.

WHO CAN REFER ME TO PHYSICAL THERAPY?

You can get a Physical Therapy referral from your physician (ortho, pcp, specialist), physician assistant, dentist, chiropractor, podiatrist or advanced nurse practitioner.

WHAT AREAS DO YOU SERVE?

We serve whoever needs us! We have people drive in to see us from Dallas, Richardson, Plano, Garland, Addison and other places around the metroplex. Home services can be provided pretty much anywhere in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex depending on availability.

HOW DOES CASH PAY PHYSICAL THERAPY WORK?

The easiest, and most common, example is what some dental offices do. You pay for your cleaning services up front and then you send forms to your insurance for reimbursement. Similarly, you would pay for your Physical Therapy services up front and then you can submit the superbill I provide to your insurance to see if it can be reimbursed. This can be a confusing topic and I would love to explain this process to you personally to see how it can work for you specifically.

HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE FOR A PHYSICAL THERAPY SESSION?

Because of contractual obligations, treatment prices will vary based on location. You will get my full attention for your scheduled time and no other patients will be treated at the same time. Prices will also vary for home based therapy due to travel. These can be discussed on a case by case basis. Special considerations can be made when appropriate. Package deals can be discussed as needed. We can accept FSA/HSA cards for payment for your convenience. Please contact us for more details.

CAN I COME IN FOR JUST DRY NEEDLING?

Yes you can!
I have a special 30 min appointment for dry needling and associated treatments. The cost will vary based on contractual obligations and location.

HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE FOR A PERSONAL TRAINING SESSION?

Personal training is based on individual/group needs.  Pricing will also vary based on location and type of training. Please contact us for pricing and availability.

HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE FOR SMALL GROUP TRAINING?

Discounts will be given for small group training based on size of group and number of sessions purchased. Please contact us for specific information.

DOES PHYSICAL THERAPY HURT?

This is a difficult question to answer. The goal is to treat you with the best care and the least pain possible. Sometimes certain modalities are uncomfortable. Sometimes you will have post surgical pain that will affect PT. Pain is not the goal of Physical Therapy, but discomfort does happen occasionally.
